There is a place I’d like to go… a land I would like to know, perhaps more than any other… Italy. While I have always preferred to understand my subjects first hand, my mode of travel lately has been by way of oil painting. Commissioned to create five large paintings on canvas has given my the opportunity to explore a country I long to visit with the aid of black and white photographs taken by my father, Paul K. Samuelson, Sr. during his 1943-1945 service in the Army Air Force in World War II. All five original Oh, Italia! pieces are for sale and are now available as Giclee prints. |
